The "Stiftung Warentest" (most famous test institute in Germany, very popular test-magazine) has tested running-bikes in July 2008. Winner of the test is the LIKEaBIKE-mountain (score 2,5 = good) second place for the LIKEaBIKE-jumper (score 3,0 = satisfactory). One running-bike scored 4,0 = pass, all others scored 4,6-5,5 = poor.

The LIKEaBIKE-jumper got the best grade of all tested bikes in the category "driving", the LIKEaBIKE-mountain was by far the best in "reliability and durability".


Spoky has been awarded a design prize for innovative toys with the German "Spiel-Gut" (Good-Play) award. The spiel gut recommendation signifies that LIKEaBIKE has been tested with children and examined by experts with a positive result.

Made of high quality varnished birch marine plywood, unlike cheaper wooden bikes. Marine Plywood is extremely durable, it is much stronger and has consistent mechanical properties: No voids. Marine Plywood is resistant to warping and used in the manufacture of Yachts and Power boats. LIKEaBIKE are held together with high-grade steel, felt, textiles and rubber. The Spoky is built to withstand any amount of rough and tumble. The feature thats sets the Spoky aside from the rest of the LIKEaBIKE are its light weight alloy rims. They make the bike roll really well and keep the overall weight of the bike down. The tyres that the spoky comes equipped with are pneumatic so are perfect for use on hard surfaces or soft surfaces, indoor or outside. The Spoky also features a plain mudguard at the back of the bike.
